I am saddened and dismayed by the political upset of our 2016 election – I can not believe so many Americans chose to support a man of such hatred, bigotry, ignorance and violence. But in the face of this insanity, I will stand vigilant and strong for what I believe, for justice, equality, peace and love. We must hold our government accountable to these ideals – let us not forget their power derives from “we the people.”
We will stand against the rising tide of hatred,
We will stand for what is good and right and just.
We will stand in grief and united bear the darkness,
Not one alone, but many – stand with us.
