I’m grateful for people who are able to have deep, difficult conversations with respect for each other’s differing opinions and the ability to listen to and ponder those views honestly and openly. I’ve been having such a discussion on FaceBook recently and I find it refreshing that it hasn’t devolved into name-calling, belittling accusation or vituperation, simply ideas expressed and beliefs put forth for contemplation and clarity. This week has been a roller coaster ride of harsh words, fallacies and fear mongering from our new leadership – I truly appreciate that there are still so many people who show honor and compassion when speaking and dealing with one another.
