I’m grateful to my Sister-Outlaw for a gift certificate to a local yarn shop, Bad Woman Yarn. I had a wonderful time one evening perusing the shelves of beautiful skeins of cotton, wool, nylon and acrylic yarns in vibrant colors and all so very soft.

I picked out four skeins

I’ve been looking for a new pattern to use and I’ve just begun a scarf for myself (in Zoo green!) since I gave away all the scarves I made this winter – I did receive a lovely Irish lambs wool scarf as a Christmas gift, but I want to keep that for special occasions.

It’s a broomstick stitch, a little complicated, but very showy
