365 Gratitude Project – Day 47: Zoo Grounds

February 16, 2017

I’m grateful that most days I’m able to spends my break times walking around the Zoo grounds. Woodland Park Zoo is a beautiful place; the grounds, animal management, exhibits and horticulture teams work really hard to create biomes and habitats which let you experience flora and fauna from all over the world. I love walking through the forests of bamboo in Tropical Asia, or smelling the plumeria by Jaguar Cove, or immersing myself in the African Village and looking out upon the Savanna from the primary school. I’ve figured out certain routes and paths to take to maximize my breaks and be able to enjoy the grounds and the animals in our living collection.

Today I visited the Conservation Aviary and the Marsh
