I’m grateful to have spent a really fun evening in the company of friends and coworkers Cecily, Jessi, Alexandra and Emma. It happened that two of us had not seen the latest Star Wars movie “Rogue One,” so we decided collectively to rectify that situation.
The only difficulty – the movie has been out long enough that it’s become scarce. The only theater playing it at a reasonable hour was at Alderwood Mall, a good 30 minutes away on a good day – but this was a Friday evening…at rush hour…in the rain…and Seattle drivers just can’t in rain…luckily we had plenty of time – it only took us a little over an hour to carpool there. Time enough for dinner and great conversation, then an easy walk to the theater and Wow, what a great movie! I purposely didn’t watch trailers or look up info about the film ahead of time; I’m so glad I did that because I think it is more exciting to have to figure the story out as you go, particularly in a series like Star Wars where the films jump back and forth in time. No spoilers, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was so glad to share the experience with friends.
