Had a lovely day with my mom today; I’m grateful for every day I have with her – she’s my first friend and biggest fan and she means the world to me. We had a double date with the dentist this morning – no cavities, but I have a tooth which needs to be pulled, so I’ll be back next week for a little excavation. Then we went to see the new live-action “Beauty and the Beast.”
Oh. My. Beautifully done, respect paid both to the animated film and the stage musical, and Emma Watson is Belle. Belle has always been my favorite Disney princess because of her strength, her intelligence and her compassion – Emma’s Belle is all that and more – sweet, courageous, kind, and genuine. We loved it!
Followed the movie with a late lunch at Red Robin. We appreciate the lengths RR takes to meet people’s dietary needs; mom doesn’t like big servings so she got a mini burger and I’m avoiding bread so I got a California chicken burger in a lettuce wrap and we both substituted slaw instead of fries – tasty! We ended with a quick stop at Barnes & Noble and the bank, then she dropped me off at home and headed back home herself. Very satisfying day.
